Our Story: A Legacy of Hard Work and Integrity

Our journey began in 1975, when my father, Ernie Toneguzzo, purchased the company’s first dump truck. Ernie spent most of his life in construction and quickly became known and loved for his exceptional skills operating heavy equipment and cranes—people often said his machines were like an extension of himself.

Behind the scenes, my mom, Luciana, put her honorary degree in Commercial Business to work in accounting, keeping the business organized and the books balanced. With Ernie at the controls of the machines and Luciana managing the finances, Toneguzzo Trucking and Excavating became a family endeavour built on hard work, trust, and unity.

Building the Future

Growing up surrounded by equipment, I, Michael Toneguzzo, took to the trade straight out of high school, learning from my parents and earning my stripes in the field. In 2002, I took over the business, leading it toward a broader construction focus. Today, we proudly serve clients in Sarnia and throughout Ontario, offering reliable trucking, excavation, demolition, and comprehensive site development services.
